To honor her remarkable legacy, the LANI Foundation was established as a beacon of hope, carrying forward her vision of empowering young professionals, supporting education, and uplifting the vulnerable.

AUB Legacy Projects
To preserve her legacy and extend her impact, LANI Foundation has established three key initiatives dedicated to her name:
1. Youth in Taxation Programme
Angelina Uyi Bassey was deeply committed to nurturing young professionals in the field of taxation. In her honor, the LANI Foundation, in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), selects and sponsors 10 young taxation professionals annually. This program covers full certification exam fees, offers mentorship and training, and provides internship placements, ensuring that her legacy of excellence in the tax profession continues.
2. Prize Award for Best Female Student in Taxation
In recognition of Angelina Uyi Bassey’s advocacy for gender equality in taxation, LANI Foundation sponsors an annual ₦250,000 Prize Award for the Best Female CITN Student. This initiative encourages and supports women pursuing careers in taxation, ensuring they have the resources and motivation to succeed. The 2025 Prize Award has already been confirmed, reinforcing the foundation’s dedication to empowering women.
3. Support for Orphanages & Child Education
Angelina Uyi Bassey had a profound love for children and education. To honor this, LANI Foundation provides essential support to orphanages and educational institutions. Our initiatives include:
- Rebuilding libraries and improving educational facilities, such as our renovated library project in Ikorodu.
- Introducing reading classes to nurture literacy and a love for learning.
- Providing financial aid and educational materials to children in need.
Through these programs, we ensure that underprivileged children have access to quality education, just as AUB would have wanted.
